ܒܫܢܬ ܥܣܪ̈ܝܢ ܘܫܒܥ ܫܢܝ̈ܢ ܠܝܘܪܒܥܡ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܐܡܠܟ ܥܘܙܝܐ ܒܪ ܐܡܘܨܝܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ

In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah began to reign.

ܒܪ ܫܬܬܥܣܪܐ ܗܘܐ ܫܢܝ̈ܢ ܟܕ ܐܡܠܟ ܘܚܡܫܝܢ ܘܬܪ̈ܬܝܢ ܫܢܝ̈ܢ ܐܡܠܟ ܒܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܘܫܡܐ ܕܐܡܗ ܝܟܢܝܐ ܡܢ ܐܘܪܫܠܡ
'wrshlm mn ykny' d'mh wshm' b'wrshlm 'mlk shnyn wthrthyn wkhmshyn 'mlk kd shnyn hw' shththesr' br
He was sixteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.

ܘܥܒܕ ܕܫܦܝܪ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܝܟ ܐܡܘܨܝܐ ܐܒܘܗܝ
'bwhy 'mwtsy' 'yk mry' qdm dshpyr webd
He did that which was right in Yahweh’s eyes, according to all that his father Amaziah had done.

ܒܪܡ ܕܝܢ ܥ̈ܠܘܬܐ ܠܐ ܐܥܒܪ ܘܥܕܟܝܠ ܥܡܐ ܡܕܒܚܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܘܣܝܡܝܢ ܒܣ̈ܡܐ ܥܠ ܥ̈ܠܘܬܐ
elwth' el bsm' wsymyn hww mdbkhyn em' wedkyl 'ebr l' elwth' dyn brm
However, the high places were not taken away. The people still sacrificed and burned incense in the high places.

ܘܡܚܝܗܝ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܡܠܟܐ ܘܗܘܐ ܓܪܒܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܝܘܡܐ ܕܡܝܬ ܘܝܬܒ ܒܒܝܬܐ ܡܛܫܝܐܝܬ ܘܝܘܬܡ ܒܪ ܡܠܟܐ ܪܒܝܬܐ ܕܐܢ ܗܘܐ ܠܥܡܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ

Yahweh struck the king, so that he was a leper to the day of his death, and lived in a separate house. Jotham, the king’s son, was over the household, judging the people of the land.

Now the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

ܘܫܟܒ ܥܘܙܝܐ ܥܡ ܐ̈ܒܗܘܗܝ ܘܩܒܪܘܗܝ ܥܡ ܐ̈ܒܗܘܗܝ ܒܩܪܝܬܐ ܕܕܘܝܕ ܘܐܡܠܟ ܝܘܬܡ ܒܪܗ ܒܬܪܗ
bthrh brh ywthm w'mlk ddwyd bqryth' 'bhwhy em wqbrwhy 'bhwhy em ewzy' wshkb
Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in David’s city; and Jotham his son reigned in his place.

ܒܫܢܬ ܬܠܬܝܢ ܘܬܡܢܐ ܫܢܝ̈ܢ ܠܥܘܙܝܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܐܡܠܟ ܙܟܪܝܐ ܒܪ ܝܘܪܒܥܡ ܥܠ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܒܫܡܪܝܢ ܫܬܐ ܝܪ̈ܚܝܢ

In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah the son of Jeroboam reigned over Israel in Samaria six months.

ܘܥܒܕ ܕܒܝܫ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܥܒܕ ܐܒܘܗܝ ܘܠܐ ܣܛܐ ܡܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܚ̈ܛܗܘܗܝ ܕܝܘܪܒܥܡ ܒܪ ܢܒܛ ܕܐܚܛܝ ܠܐܝܣܪܝܠ

He did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, as his fathers had done. He didn’t depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin.

ܘܡܪܕ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܫܠܘܡ ܒܪ ܝܒܝܫ ܘܡܚܝܗܝ ܠܘܩܒܠ ܥܡܐ ܘܩܛܠܗ ܘܐܡܠܟ ܒܬܪܗ

Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him, and struck him before the people and killed him, and reigned in his place.

ܘܫܪܟܐ ܕܦܬܓܡ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܙܟܪܝܐ ܗܐ ܟܬܝܒܝܢ ܒܣܦܪ ܕܒܪܝܡܝܢ ܕܡ̈ܠܟܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ

Now the rest of the acts of Zechariah, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

ܘܫܠܡܬ ܡܠܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܕܐܡܪ ܠܝܗܘ ܕܒܢ̈ܝܐ ܐܪ̈ܒܝܥܝܐ ܢܬܒܘܢ ܠܟ ܥܠ ܟܘܪܣܝܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܗܘܐ ܗܟܢܐ
hkn' whw' d'ysryl kwrsy' el lk nthbwn 'rbyey' dbny' lyhw d'mr dmry' mlthh wshlmth
This was Yahweh’s word which he spoke to Jehu, saying, “Your sons to the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.” So it came to pass.

ܘܫܠܘܡ ܒܪ ܝܒܝܫ ܐܡܠܟ ܒܫܢܬ ܬܠܬܝܢ ܘܬܫܥ ܫܢܝ̈ܢ ܠܥܘܙܝܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܘܐܡܠܟ ܝܪܚ ܝܘܡ̈ܝܢ ܒܫܡܪܝܢ
bshmryn ywmyn yrkh w'mlk dyhwd' mlk' lewzy' shnyn wthshe thlthyn bshnth 'mlk ybysh br wshlwm
Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah, and he reigned for a month in Samaria.

ܘܣܠܩ ܡܚܢܝܡ ܒܪ ܓܕܝ ܡܢ ܬܪܨܐ ܘܥܠ ܠܫܡܪܝܢ ܘܡܚܝܗܝ ܠܫܠܘܡ ܒܪ ܝܒܝܫ ܒܫܡܪ̈ܝܢ ܘܩܛܠܗ ܘܐܡܠܟ ܒܬܪܗ
bthrh w'mlk wqTlh bshmryn ybysh br lshlwm wmkhyhy lshmryn wel thrts' mn gdy br mkhnym wslq
Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, came to Samaria, struck Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, killed him, and reigned in his place.

ܘܫܪܟܐ ܕܦܬܓܡ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܫܠܘܡ ܘܡܪܕܐ ܕܡܪܕ ܗܐ ܟܬܝܒܝܢ ܒܣܦܪ ܕܒܪܝܡܝܢ ܕܡ̈ܠܟܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ

Now the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܡܚܐ ܡܚܢܝܡ ܠܬܦܣܚ ܘܠܟܠ ܕܐܝܬ ܒܗ ܘܠܬܚ̈ܘܡܝܗ ܡܢ ܬܪܨܐ ܥܠ ܕܠܐ ܦܬܚܘ ܠܗ ܬܪܥܐ ܘܚܪܒܗ ܘܠܟܠܗܝܢ ܒܛܢܬ̈ܗ ܦܪܬ

Then Menahem attacked Tiphsah and all who were in it and its border areas, from Tirzah. He attacked it because they didn’t open their gates to him, and he ripped up all their women who were with child.

ܒܫܢܬ ܬܠܬܝܢ ܘܬܫܥ ܫ̈ܢܝܢ ܠܥܘܙܝܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܐܡܠܟ ܡܚܢܝܡ ܒܪ ܓܕܝ ܥܠ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܒܫܡܪܝܢ ܥܣܪ ܫ̈ܢܝܢ
shnyn esr bshmryn 'ysryl el gdy br mkhnym 'mlk dyhwd' mlk' lewzy' shnyn wthshe thlthyn bshnth
In the thirty ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, Menahem the son of Gadi began to reign over Israel for ten years in Samaria.

ܘܥܒܕ ܕܒܝܫ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܣܛܐ ܡܢ ܚ̈ܛܗܘܗܝ ܕܝܘܪܒܥܡ ܒܪ ܢܒܛ ܕܐܚܛܝ ܠܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܟܘܠܗܘܢ ܝܘܡ̈ܘܗܝ

He did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight. He didn’t depart all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin.

ܘܐܬܐ ܦܘܠ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܐܬܘܪ ܥܠ ܐܪܥܐ ܘܝܗܒ ܡܚܢܝܡ ܠܦܘܠ ܐܠܦ ܟܟܪ̈ܝܢ ܕܟܣܦܐ ܕܬܗܘܐ ܐܝܕܗ ܥܡܗ ܘܢܐܚܘܕ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܒܐܝܕܗ
b'ydh mlkwth' wn'khwd emh 'ydh dthhw' dksp' kkryn 'lp lpwl mkhnym wyhb 're' el d'thwr mlk' pwl w'th'
Pul the king of Assyria came against the land, and Menahem gave Pul one thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.

ܘܐܪܡܝ ܡܚܢܝܡ ܥܠ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܟܣܦܐ ܥܠ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܬܝܪ̈ܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܕܢܬܠ ܠܡܠܟܐ ܕܐܬܘܪ ܚܡܫܝܢ ܡܬܩ̈ܠܝܢ ܕܟܣܦܐ ܥܠ ܓܒܪܐ ܚܕ ܘܗܦܟ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܐܬܘܪ ܘܠܐ ܩܡ ܬܡܢ ܒܐܪܥܐ
b're' thmn qm wl' d'thwr mlk' whpk khd gbr' el dksp' mthqlyn khmshyn d'thwr lmlk' dnthl d're' ethyr' klhwn el ksp' 'ysryl el mkhnym w'rmy
Menahem exacted the money from Israel, even from all the mighty men of wealth, from each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and didn’t stay there in the land.

Menahem slept with his fathers, and Pekahiah his son reigned in his place.

In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria for two years.

ܘܡܪܕ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܦܩܚ ܒܪ ܪܘܡܠܝܐ ܓܢܒܪܗ ܘܩܛܠܗ ܒܫܡܪܝܢ ܒܣܚܪܬܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܡܠܟܐ ܘܕܒܪ ܠܪܓܐܘܒ ܘܠܐܢܝ ܘܥܡܗ ܚܡܫܝܢ ܓܒܪ̈ܝܢ ܡܢ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܓܠܥܕ ܘܩܛܠܗ ܘܐܡܠܟ ܒܬܪܗ

Pekah the son of Remaliah, his captain, conspired against him and attacked him in Samaria, in the fortress of the king’s house, with Argob and Arieh; and with him were fifty men of the Gileadites. He killed him, and reigned in his place.

In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria for twenty years.

ܘܒܝ̈ܘܡܘܗܝ ܕܦܩܚ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܐܬܐ ܬܓܠܬܦܠܣܪ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܐܬܘܪ ܘܕܒܪ ܠܥܝܘܢ ܘܠܐܒܠ ܡܚܘܠܐ ܘܠܟܠ ܒܝܬ ܡܥܟܐ ܘܠܢܝܚ ܘܠܩܕܫ ܘܠܚܨܘܪ ܘܠܓܠܥܕ ܘܠܓܠܝܠܐ ܘܠܟܠܗ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܢܦܬܠܝ ܘܓܠܝ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܐܬܘܪ

In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath Pileser king of Assyria came and took Ijon, Abel Beth Maacah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali; and he carried them captive to Assyria.

ܘܡܪܕ ܡܪܕܐ ܗܘܫܥ ܒܪ ܐܠܐ ܥܠ ܦܩܚ ܒܪ ܪܘܡܠܝܐ ܘܡܚܝܗܝ ܘܩܛܠܗ ܘܐܡܠܟ ܒܬܪܗ ܒܫܢܬ ܬܪ̈ܬܝܢ ܠܝܘܬܡ ܒܪ ܥܘܙܝܐ

Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, attacked him, killed him, and reigned in his place, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.

In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel, Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah began to reign.

ܒܪ ܥܣܪ̈ܝܢ ܗܘܐ ܘܚܡܫ ܫܢܝ̈ܢ ܟܕ ܐܡܠܟ ܘܫܬܬܥܣܪܐ ܫܢ̈ܝܢ ܐܡܠܟ ܒܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܘܫܡܐ ܕܐܡܗ ܝܪܘܫܐ ܒܪܬ ܨܕܘܩ

He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jerusha the daughter of Zadok.

ܘܥܒܕ ܕܫܦܝܪ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܥܒܕ ܥܘܙܝܐ ܐܒܘܗܝ
'bwhy ewzy' debd 'yk mry' qdm dshpyr webd
He did that which was right in Yahweh’s eyes. He did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.

ܒܪܡ ܥ̈ܠܘܬܐ ܠܐ ܐܥܒܪ ܘܥܕܟܝܠ ܥܡܐ ܡܕܒܚܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܘܣܝܡܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܒܣ̈ܡܐ ܥܠ ܥ̈ܠܘܬܐ ܘܗܘ ܒܢܐ ܬܪܥܐ ܥܠܝܐ ܕܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ

However the high places were not taken away. The people still sacrificed and burned incense in the high places. He built the upper gate of Yahweh’s house.
